Celebrating 60 Years of Donmix Excellence!

Today, Donmix reaches a remarkable milestone - 60 years since our inaugural pour in 1963.

Our journey began with a memorable hiccup. Len Denier's breakdown en route to a job for Wally Purvis led to owner Bill Donohue coming to the rescue, towing Len with a tipper full of sand. The concreters, pulled from the pub, eventually arrived to complete Donmix's eventful first pour.

Fast forward to 7 December 1983, a pivotal moment unfolded - the inaugural pour from the Ventnor Plant, a location integral to our operations today. Fate intervened again, with a power outage disrupting the pour for the very unlucky Wally Purvis.

In early 2019, Donmix joined the Holcim family, continuing the tradition of excellence crafted by the Donohue family for six decades.
